The Saudi Arabia national football team (Arabic: منتخب المملكة العربية السعودية لكرة القدم) represents Saudi Arabia in international football and is governed by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF). They are the most successful national team in the history of the AFC Asian Cup, having won it three times (1984, 1988, 1996). Saudi Arabia made history at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar by defeating eventual champions Argentina 2-1 in the group stage — widely regarded as one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history. They have qualified for multiple FIFA World Cups and consistently compete at the top level of Asian football.
